About this indicator

What it measures

The percentage of the labor force aged 15–24 without a job, available to work, and seeking employment. Modeled ILO estimate.

How to interpret it

The denominator includes employed and unemployed young people; it does not include all people aged 15–24.

Important limitation

ILO estimates combine reported and imputed data. Imputed observations are uncertain and unsuitable for country comparisons or rankings.

Year-on-year change compares consecutive observed years only. Percentage-based indicators show percentage-point differences; other indicators show percentage change. Missing values remain missing.
