About this indicator

What it measures

Economic output valued at current prices and expressed in US dollars.

How to interpret it

Use this measure to compare the nominal size of economies in the same year.

Important limitation

Inflation and exchange rates affect changes. This is neither real GDP nor a purchasing-power-adjusted measure.

Year-on-year change compares consecutive observed years only. Percentage-based indicators show percentage-point differences; other indicators show percentage change. Missing values remain missing.
